A wonderful place to have one’s family vacation. Perfect for young people as well. The climate of the area is mild, dry, with inconsiderable volume of rainfall; the vegetation is broadleaved. Only some five to seven years ago it was a small settlement with several hotels, whereas today the area is preferred by many large German tour operators investing considerable amounts into the development of tourist infrastructure of the town. The resort attracts by low prices, numerous bars, cafes, restaurants, and disco clubs; there are many various amusement facilities for children.
From 1994 Primorsko is the member of European organization “The Blue Flag". It is a generally recognized reward for special help in taking care of beaches and environment. Obligations and activities under the Blue Flag program include the following: quality of sea water and coastal area, beach safety and maintenance, and ecological education. On the outskirts of the town there begins the well-known natural reserve Ropotamo with the river of the same name, reserved forests and lakes.
In Primorsko there are two spacious beaches, where it is never tight. One is unlikely to find a place with clearer water on the whole southern coast. Over the last five years in the town there were built numerous modern large and small-sized hotel complexes with pools. For thrifty tourists staying in private cottages not far from the sea could be a perfect option. In Primorsko there is the Europe largest International Youth Center. The centre has large guarded territory, well-equipped sandy beach, a rescue team, over 20 cafes, a post-office, and a long-distance telephone service. For children there were created all the conditions for good rest: disco clubs, a summer theatre, concerts, sports facilities - volleyball and football grounds, indoor table tennis hall, tennis courts, billiard, game-playing machines, a fitness centre, and an open pool.
Characteristic feature of Primorsko resort is an extremely wide range of options of outdoor activities. For many people Primorsko is becoming favorite place of rest due to its democratic and warmly welcoming atmosphere. The resort offers wide opportunities for lovers of various kinds of sport and fitness; here there are many prestigious night clubs, disco clubs, restaurants, and cafes. In the centre of the town there is a market-place and a bus station (routes to Burgas and Sozopol). Probably, these are the very reasons why Primorsko has become known as one of the most popular resorts of Bulgaria among young people.
