The town of Tsarevo (Vasiliko and Michurin) is situated at a small bay at the distance of 65 km to the south from Burgas, next to E-87 road. the town occupies two peninsulas (the northern and the southern) and has three azure beaches. In 1967 the town was proclaimed a climatic seaside resort. Apart from the three beaches Tsarevo also has two exotic camping areas - Bolgarka and Nestinarka. International road Burgas - Malko Tarnovo - Lozengrad - Istanbul runs across the town.
Economic situation is defined by Passat company manufacturing fiberglass products (yachts, boats, water rides, sledges, etc.). Tsarevo is located to the south from Burgas; it has the first and the largest port. The advantage of the town lies in proximity to the Bosporus, and the water here is the cleanest in the area. From 1995 the port is considered international.
Due to its various places of interest (natural, historical, architectural, etc.) the district of Tsarevo is one of the most attractive in Burgas region. Unique combination of the sea, the mountains, the river, exotic flora and fauna, local traditions and the authentic Strandzhan culture and customs represent various opportunities for tourism development - ecotourism, yachting, fishing, etc. Only within the village of Bulgari there got preserved unique pagan and Christian traditions, for example, dancing on live coal in the name of St. Konstantin and Elena.
The district of Tsarevo is known for its historical monuments - antique Ahtopol Wall and the Greek School in the town of Ahtopol, the churches of St. Repose of the Virgin in Tsarevo, St. Cyril and Methodius in the village of Kosti, St. Panteleimon in the village of Brodilovo, Thracian ruins, and other.
Within the Tsarevo district there can be found the oldest reserve in the country - Silkosia (from 1933). Here there is one of the seven damp destinations of the country with continental importance - the Ropotamo-Veleka complex.
In summer average daily temperature of Tsarevo ranges between 24 to 35 degrees of centigrade, while the water temperature is 23 to 29 degrees of centigrade. In Tsarevo winters are mild with the year-round parking of yachts available. All these factors make Tsarevo one of the preferred towns of yachtsmen.
